What is a board foot?
A board foot is the standard unit for measuring lumber in the US and Canada. It is a measurement of the volume of the wood. To calculate the board foot in a piece of lumber use this equation:
thickness (inches) x width (inches) x length (feet)

For example, if you'd like to buy a 1" board that is 6" wide and 12' long you would do:
1 x 6 x 12' = 6 board feet

What if you don't have what I'm looking for in stock?
If we don't happen to have what you're looking for in stock, we can custom cut lumber to suit your needs. Lead time is typically a few weeks on custom orders, so give us as much of a heads up as you can. Thicker boards, beams, live edge lumber, and even your entire shed or raised garden beds can all be cut to order!
